Get to know me

I am known as quite an eccentric lady because I jog barefoot on trail runs accompanied by my precious dogs, enjoying the wind, the rain, the sun and anything that mother nature has to offer. Weather permitting or not, I am always out in the natural world and can take anything that nature throws at me.

I love watching the game of rugby and am a Springbok supporter all the way, I will never miss a match! Having tried actually playing the game once at a social party; the only time I’ve broken my finger is trying to catch a rugby ball.

I love hiking in the mountains, beach, and anything that is pure nature. (Did I mention that I love the outdoors yet)? Animals have a special place in my heart. My favourite is definitely the owl. You can ask any of my friends or family and they will tell you that I am owlsessed.

I definitely think that a work-life balance is very important and find relaxation through being active. When I am taking a break, you can find me hiking, running or playing the occasional game of bridge. I do also enjoy reading, mostly crime novels, murder mysteries, and fictional drama.

If I were to talk about the biggest reward in my life, I would have to mention seeing and helping (in any way that I can) young people find “themselves”. Identity, who you are, and what you like is of utmost importance and I will forever be grateful for the years I have put into a career that encourages the search and acquisition of a sense of self for those who are a little bit lost.

Conflict management may be my profession, but I try to be peaceable in my personal life. This goal is achieved by breathing and breaking in my own time so that when I get to work I can be in tip-top shape.

My ultimate dream is for everyone to be a willing participant in the economy. A world where every body, despite our differences, is able to put in effort, time and contribute to creating a better economy is world that has hope.
